The incredible thing about Emma is that she provides a variety of trips & adventures managing to combine not only cities but countryside and the coast.
You really can discover & explore all that Egypt has to offer. You get to horse ride on the most beautiful well-kept animals in the most diverse of environments. One day you can be wandering around the pyramids, the next galloping in the nearby Giza desert, swimming with horses in Hurghada an absolute highlight for me and the rides around the West Bank of Luxor through the villages & plantations, seeing & hearing the real Egypt just blew me away.
I don’t know what you what from your experience of Egypt but if you’re reading this review it means you might be thinking about going ?? Stop thinking and contact Emma at Ride Egypt – tell her what you want to experience and she will bend over backwards to make it happen & as she did for me make a dream become reality.
I was lucky enough to spend time in all of Emma’s stables, Cairo, Hurghada & my personal favourite Luxor. All of them well run & managed, the horses (& numerous other animals) so well cared for & looked after – in a country where so many are not, it was just a pleasure to spend time there. All the staff were so accommodating & helpful, the guides – led by Mohammed, all knowledgeable, fun & very safety conscious. They know & understand both the environment they are in & each of the horses and riders they have with them.
You will very quickly learn “the Egyptian Smile” & it will stay permanently across your face until the day you leave !
I was exceptionally impressed with the accommodation partners Emma works with, obviously carefully chosen, each perfect for the town/area I was staying in & for the proximity to the stables. Don’t expect to loose weight, despite the calories you may burn off during the day, you will be exceptionally well fed and definitely experience some tasty culinary delights, as a vegetarian I was amazed how well I was catered for, nothing was a problem.
While my main aim was to spend as much time on horse back as possible, you quickly realise that time out of the saddle also needed. The balance that Emma & her team manage to create just perfect, the opportunity to go snorkeling with dolphins near Hurghada, the twilight boat cruise down the Nile in Luxor & the time just lost in awe at The Egyptian Museum in Cairo just perfect for me.
If there’s something you want to do while in Egypt – ask Emma, my experience says she can help make anything happen & if she can’t she certainly knows someone who can. I could write on and on about my time & wonderful memories with Ride Egypt but they’re mine – we not go make & create your own ! I cannot recommend Emma & her team highly enough & eternally grateful to them for being so welcoming, friendly & fun & for helping me have the best holiday ever – I will be back for more !.
