I can't describe in words how perfect this holiday was. I loved every moment and can't wait to book with Ride Egypt again.This was my second trip with Ride Egypt and I never thought anything could match the "holiday of a lifetime" that I loved so much last year doing the Palms, Pyramids and Pharoahs ride with an extension in Fayoum.But Dahab truly was paradise and so much fun and good for the soul. It was lovely to be reunited with many of the Ride Egypt team who are the best hosts you could wish for: Emma, Saber, Youseff and Adham look after everything for you, allowing you to mentally relax, but more than that, they are the loveliest of people and great, hilarious company. We are definitely friends for life. It was also great to meet Ali for the first time. He really knows his horses and can control them with a word, just riding alongside you.This trip combined fast rides on amazing, well cared for, arab horses through stunning scenery with non-riding activities such as snorkeling in the Blue Hole, hiking in the White Canyon, a boat trip to the incredibly beautiful Blue Lagoon and bedouin hospitality in the desert, around a campfire with a sky full of stars. It felt like a more spiritual and cultural version of a summer holiday where you enjoyed sea views, relaxation by the pool and great food, cocktails and company (shout out to the absolutely fantastic group) whilst also somehow packing a month's worth of activity into a week with sunrise rides, gallops on beautiful horses through shaded valleys and along sandy beaches, as well as the opportunity to swim with the horses in beautiful, crystal clear waters.I can't recommend this holiday enough. I have so many amazing memories. I haven't stopped thinking about it since getting home and can't wait to book again. I'm missing Egypt so much right now, as is everyone from our group. Wonderful riding experience with Ride Egypt! Emma’s horses are well cared for and have great characters. Our guides Tommy and Ahmed were both amazing. They made sure we all felt comfortable and challenged (if we wanted to). Egypt has so much to offer and we never had a dull moment! Such a wonderful experience. Pure happiness and freedom riding beautiful and truly loved horses. A complete escape from day-to-day life. I’ve returned home with a new perspective thanks to the Ride Egypt team! A special thanks to Tommy who helped incrementally build my confidence all week and had me riding some “fire” horses by the end - it was “all in my head”, after all! Youssef and Ahmed were also so fantastic. Ahmed was fabulous at keeping the group together and safe on rides, all the while with a sense of humour. Thanks to all the Ride Egypt team! Honestly not a damn clue where to even begin. There are no words to describe the experience I had whilst in Egypt, like I am actually loss for words as this is one of those things where you have to just experience it for yourself and damn is it worth every penny 🥰But what I can say is….EMMA, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GREATEST HOLIDAY AND ADVENTURE OF MY LIFE 😍 from the moment that I landed in Cairo to the moment I took off in Hurghada, everything and everyone has been absolutely amazing. It was such as pleasure meeting you, your whole team and the Incredible horses that you have and of course thanks to Gemma who’s been with us all every step of the way.I’m in awe of the incredibly strong woman that you are and the life that you have made in Egypt as it definitely takes strength and courage to achieve the kind of heights that you have especially after reading your Amazing story on how you came to Egypt and started one of the most amazing riding holidays (Ride Egypt) of this time. You lead an amazing life and you get to meet amazing people along the way because of it all and it was amazing to experience what you have achieved in the last 10 years 🥰 I have the utmost respect for you as a woman as not a lot of people let alone women could achieve what you have and create such an incredible life and especially after all the heartbreaks you went through prior to everything ❤️As a solo traveller going to a country I’ve never been to before I honestly could not have felt more confident and although you travel on your own, you get to meet Amazing group of people when you arrive with whom you get to spend a week having adventures with. A group of people whom you’ve never met before but instantly click with as if you have all known each other and been friends for years doing what you all love is definitely worth getting on that plane❤️This has been an experience of a life time and I cannot wait to come back and do it all over again… well maybe something different… like Tombs, Dunes and Kingdoms or OOOOHHHH SATALANA 😉 keep doing what you’re doing, it’s been a holiday I will treasure always. I have learnt so much about horses (Arabians) and riding on this holiday alone. It was amazing to see just how well looked after the horses are and how much they are cared for and loved and how much your team not only care about all of the riders, ensuring they are comfortable and safe but also how much they care about each other. And not just the (horse) team but also Gemma who was always on the ball with everything and ready to deal with any concerns that may have occurred only being a message away and of course Emma herself, the main Boss and the Mastermind behind everything always ensuring everyone is well taken care of and is always happy to answer any queries by only being a message away (Egyptian time 😜🤣).Honestly it’s not just Emma and her team that are great but also all the guides during the non riding sessions that are Awesome as Ride Egypt isn’t just about Galloping on Arabians screaming YALLA at the top of your lungs 😍 but also about exploring all the different Egyptian cultures, temples, tombs, pyramids, museums and so much more. You spend a portion of your day riding, then exploring the history of Egypt and somewhere in between you get to relax by the pool enjoying some Gin, Margaritas, Beers or a nice cold Cola and even have some amazing fun dinner party’s (OOOHH SATALANA) 😉I felt safe, confident and comfortable from start to finish through the holiday as the whole team was always there to ensure everyone was happy and well cared for. Adventure of a lifetime
What an amazing holiday! Ride Egypt was just fabulous from start to finish! I went on the holiday from Cairo to Luxor to Hurghada. If you factor in all theRiding and food and accommodation it’s not as expensive as you first think and boy is it worth it!! Honestly, life is short and having experiences and creating memories like this is just fabulous. So if you’re looking and wondering just book it! As soon as I emailed an enquiry and started chatting to Gemma who helps the amazing owner Emma with all things admin, I knew this was for me. Gemma checks in with you about your riding experience and can answer all your questions and explain anything. Once you are there, you can still contact her and she checks in with you, but the team in Egypt are just amazing too, they really care about their horses and their guests. I loved the mix of riding and history, it was a perfect balance and just the best way to see a country for me. What a fabulous group I was with as well from all over the world. Any negative reviews are way out of date so do not be put off, this was an easy fabulous holiday from start to finish. I want to be back there right now! We saw pyramids , tombs, mummies, galloped on beaches and through back country and fields of bananas, saw hot air balloons at sunrise, local villagers and swam with the horses. There was a cruise on the Nile, dinners, entertainment and cocktails. Or if you want chill time you can do that too. Their website has lots of info and different options and dates, it’s really an excellent company and you can easily book direst with them. Emma has really made a great job of developing the business and I stand in awe of what she has created. She clearly adores her horses and is really caring about her staff. Yet another foray into epic Egypt with Ride Egypt Equestrian Adventures! BEST Riding Experience!
I used to ride when I was younger. As an adult I do not have my own horses but enjoy riding. I have found it difficult to find a true riding experience when I’m on holiday but Ride Egypt has surpassed all my expectations. They love their horses and take very good care of them which was important to me. They made booking very seamless and followed up after. I rode with them in both Luxor and Hurghada. Both experiences were great yet different. I loved Luxor a bit more only because I loved my horse Big Red. Authentic Egypt on Arabian Stallions
As a solo female traveler, I felt safe in every location while experiencing authentic Egypt. There were the perfect amount of opportunities to take photos and yallah gallops. From galloping on fiesty Arabian stallions by the pyramids of Giza to taking, deep tours into the Valley of the Kings, each day was something special. Going in winter made the heat tolerable and nights beautiful without many bugs. Luxor offered moments on the Nile and gallops with a hot air balloon launch at dawn. High as a gave you a luxurious, 5-Star hotel with delicious cocktails, mocktails, and beachside views at the Red Sea. Every guide, from horse to archeologist, were knowledgeable and passionate about their nations history- making every story memorable as the pictures taken along side. Food was divine and authentic to Egypt- there was always abundance in spice and quantity- you will never go hungry on this trip.
